Work @ Collegewise

Sales Development Representative

Collegewise is looking for a full time Sales Development Representative (SDR) to become the next great addition to our Sales and Marketing Team. We'd like our new SDR to start as soon as possible. This is a remote position, with the understanding that there will likely be 2-3 later nights a week and an occasional weekend day of calls. Candidates must be located in the United States to be eligible.

Who We Are

Collegewise is a college counseling company that helps high school students confidently navigate their journey to college. We believe the college admissions process has spun out of control, with too much confusion, too much anxiety, and too many students losing agency for what should be their path to higher education. We’re out to change all that.

Since 1999, we’ve helped more than 30,000 students apply and get accepted to schools—sometimes famous, often not—that they’re excited to attend. We do it all with just the right mix of advice, encouragement, and occasional cheerleading—all backed by data and experience—to ensure that each student’s college admissions process goes smoothly and thoughtfully. And our work doesn’t stop with students who enroll in our program. We speak in public, write, and constantly look for ways to spread relevant college planning information to anyone who needs it, whether or not they work with us.

We want to hear from you

If you’re excited about this opportunity but unsure if you’re the right fit, we hope you’ll take a shot. There is no such thing as a perfect applicant (or a perfect job, for that matter). And we promise to give a fair and thorough read to every applicant who takes the time to submit a thoughtful application to us.

We also understand that the more we embrace diversity of age, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, ethnicity, and perspective, the stronger the company we’ll be able to build together. Creating an environment where everyone, from any background, can do their best work is the right thing to do. And we hope you’re excited to embrace and contribute to our efforts.

How to Apply

Instead of a traditional cover letter, please answer the following questions (150–250 words per response is a helpful guideline):

  1. Tell us about a time you needed to nurture a relationship to make a sale. What happened, and what made you successful?
  2. What tools, systems, or processes do you use to stay organized in your work?
  3. How do you stay positive and committed, even when you hear “no” frequently?
  4. Why Collegewise? What draws you specifically to working here?

Pay, Start Date, and More Details

This position is full-time, benefits eligible, and has an hourly rate of $20, with the potential for additional earnings through commission. As Collegewise continues to evolve, there’s plenty of room for growth in both responsibility and pay. Our preferred start date is as soon as possible, with mid-February as the latest ideal start.
