About Your New Role:

We’re looking for a Founding AI/ML Engineer to lead the development of our AI-powered smart agent product from the ground up. As one of the first ML engineers on our team, you will shape the architecture, design, and implementation of cutting-edge conversational AI systems that redefine how businesses interact with customers.

This is an opportunity to build an AI-driven product from zero to one, applying advanced machine learning, NLP, and speech technologies to create intelligent, scalable, and highly responsive chat/voice agents. Your work will directly impact automation, decision-making, and user experiences across industries.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered chatbots and voice assistants using NLP, machine learning, and deep learning.
• Implement, fine-tune, and optimize LLMs (Large Language Models), ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition), and TTS (Text-to-Speech) systems.
• Train and evaluate machine learning models for intent detection, entity recognition, dialogue management, and sentiment analysis.
• Work with frameworks like Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, Rasa, Dialogflow, or Amazon Lex.
• Optimize chatbot and voice agent performance in real-time applications with latency constraints.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to enhance AI capabilities.
• Integrate chat/voice AI into various platforms (web, mobile, IVR, CRM, customer service platforms, etc.).
• Stay updated on cutting-edge AI research and implement state-of-the-art techniques.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related fields.
• 2+ years of experience in ML/NLP with a focus on conversational AI.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML/NLP frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, spaCy, NLTK, or Hugging Face.
• Experience with LLMs (GPT, BERT, etc.), RNNs, Transformers, and Attention mechanisms.
• Knowledge of speech recognition (ASR), speech synthesis (TTS), and voice AI technologies is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps tools for model deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for AI-driven conversational technologies.

Commandlink hires individuals in a number of geographic regions and the pay ranges listed reflect the cost of labor across these regions. The base pay for this position as displayed at the bottom of the job description is a range based on our lowest geographic region, up to our highest geographic region. Pay is based on location among other factors, such as skill-set, experience, and qualifications held.
