Success in this role demands deep familiarity with Palo Alto platforms, a solid foundation in core networking disciplines (BGP, OSPF, VRRP, QoS), and a security-first approach to WAN architecture. Beyond Palo Alto, you'll regularly work across a multi-vendor ecosystem that includes Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Versa Networks, Cato Networks, Cisco Meraki, and Metaswitch UCaaS/voice platforms as part of CommandLink's global managed services portfolio.

This is a Full-Time, 100% Remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own SD-WAN architecture and design for enterprise clients, building scalable, resilient network solutions centered on Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN and Next-Generation Firewalls.
  • Architect, deploy, and troubleshoot complex routing and security configurations including BGP, OSPF, VRRP, QoS, and IPS/IDS policies.
  • Lead customer onboarding into Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN environments, managing integration and migration from start to finish.
  • Support and troubleshoot multi-vendor environments across WAN, LAN, firewalls, VPNs, LTE circuits, VoIP, and Metaswitch UCaaS/voice services.
  • Design and refine LTE failover strategies, redundancy configurations, and hybrid WAN setups.
  • Serve as a direct point of escalation with Palo Alto Networks and other vendors on complex technical issues.
  • Proactively monitor customer environments, review logs, and identify and address threats or performance degradation before they become incidents.
  • Share expertise with peers on Palo Alto best practices, including SD-WAN policy design and security posture alignment.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of network architectures, security policies, and operational playbooks.
  • Takes on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the success of the team and organization.

What you'll need for success:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree in IT, Networking, or a related field preferred).
  • 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in networking and security, with preference for candidates coming from an MSP or ISP background.
  • Deep practical experience with Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN and Next-Generation Firewall platforms.
  • Strong command of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRRP), NAT, and VPN technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to configure Palo Alto security capabilities including App-ID, User-ID, SSL decryption, IPS/IDS, and GlobalProtect.
  • Proficiency working across multi-vendor CLI environments spanning Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Versa, and Meraki.
  • Working knowledge of VoIP, SIP trunking, LTE failover, and Metaswitch UCaaS platforms.
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance requirements, ITSM workflows, and change management processes.
  • PCNSE (Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer) or CCNP Security certification strongly preferred.
