About your new role:


We’re looking for a Managed Services Product Manager with a deep technical background and a strategic mindset to manage and evolve our vendor relationships, product catalog, and go-to-market strategy across our SD-WAN, SASE, Voice and managed connectivity portfolio. 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Own Strategic Vendor Relationships: Be the primary product liaison for core IT vendors (e.g., Cato, Fortinet, Meraki, Versa, Ubiquiti, Dell, Metaswitch and others), managing key sales and product stakeholder relationships to ensure CommandLink stays ahead of product changes and roadmaps.
  • Champion CommandLink to Vendors: Proactively promote CommandLink to vendors as a top-tier partner, advocating for visibility, enablement, and support.
  • Drive Margin and Pricing Strategy: Lead pricing analysis and vendor negotiations to secure the best possible discounts on deals and contracts, directly contributing to improved gross margins and overall profitability.
  • Product Portfolio & Financial Management: Maintain accurate, financially sound product and pricing catalogs in collaboration with Finance, ensuring internal SKUs reflect true costs, vendor programs, and margin goals.
  • Enable Sales & Customer Success: Build training, tools, and education programs to ensure Sales, CSMs, and Sales Engineers are up to speed on service options, positioning, and pricing.
  • Leverage Data for Strategic Advantage: Use vendor, pricing, and market data to inform product positioning, discounting strategies, and promotional opportunities that enhance our competitive edge.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with Finance, Executive Leadership, Vendor Management, and Sales Engineering to align pricing, SKUs, and contract terms with business goals and market dynamics.

What you'll need for success:


  • 5+ years in a technical product management, solutions engineering, or vendor/program management role within the managed services or telecom/IT space.
  • Deep technical understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, firewalls, and related network technologies; familiarity with key vendors like Cato, Fortinet, Meraki, Versa required.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial acumen, with the ability to build and manage pricing models, margin analysis, and cost frameworks.
  • Proven experience managing vendor programs and pricing structures with a track record of driving improved commercial outcomes through negotiation and analysis.
  • Proven success enabling sales teams with training and product/pricing updates.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • Previous experience in channel sales, vendor management, or working with master agents.
  • Experience with contract negotiations and vendor onboarding.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, or other business operations platforms

Commandlink hires individuals in a number of geographic regions and the pay ranges listed reflect the cost of labor across these regions. The base pay for this position as displayed at the bottom of the job description is a range based on our lowest geographic region, up to our highest geographic region. Pay is based on location among other factors, such as skill-set, experience, and qualifications held.
