About your new role:


The NOC Engineer is responsible for supporting new and existing ISP/MSP business customers. You will work on supporting business data circuits, SDWAN Networks, VoIP services, VPNs, Managed Routers, Firewalls, and you will learn, design and deliver various custom-managed services. This is a Full-Time 100% Remote opportunity.  Hours are 2nd Shift, 3:00pm-12:00am PT, Wednesday-Sunday


No travel to customer locations is required. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with customers to resolve any service problems: SDWAN, Internet,
  • Understanding of basic LAN configurations (Routers / Firewalls) and Microsoft operation systems
  • Handling new customer-managed service provisioning support functions Interfacing with vendors to resolve support issues
  • Owning support issues from start to finish
  • Keeping customers happy with superior support and a level head--going the extra mile
  • Train and assist other engineers with complex issues

What you'll need for success:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent 
  • 3-5 years of related experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • CCNA and CCNP certification is desirable
  • Command line experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper 
  • Firewall configuration experience (e.g. Fortinet)
  • Understanding and experience with BGP, OSPF, and VRRP
  • Experience with basic routers/firewalls and NAT (Network Address Translation)
  • Experience with COS/QOS
  • Experience with designing networks
  • SOC2 knowledge and understanding
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task assignments and follow process flow are required
  • Must have excellent communication and analytical skills to understand and resolve customer issues effectively. This would include being comfortable talking with Clients.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Commandlink hires individuals in a number of geographic regions and the pay ranges listed reflect the cost of labor across these regions. The base pay for this position as displayed at the bottom of the job description is a range based on our lowest geographic region, up to our highest geographic region. Pay is based on location among other factors, such as skill-set, experience, and qualifications held.

The pay range for this role is:

45,000 - 85,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
