About the role

We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Business Development Data Analyst Intern to support our Business Development (BD) team. This is an exciting opportunity for a student or recent graduate with strong technical and analytical skills to help drive our federal pipeline management, data visualization, and opportunity triage initiatives.

As a BD Data Analyst Intern, you will help the team manage information overload by developing tools to prioritize and triage new opportunities based on company capabilities. You will also be responsible for creating advanced charts, dashboards, and visualizations that depict the health, movement, and trends of our business pipeline.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations that provide insights into pipeline health and capture trends across the federal business landscape.
• Create an internal tool or framework to systematically triage and prioritize opportunities based on strategic alignment and capabilities.
• Analyze BD pipeline data to identify trends and and suggest process improvements.
• Automate and streamline data collection, reporting, and opportunity categorization.
• Collaborate with BD leadership to refine reporting needs and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Assist in preparing pipeline review materials and executive briefings.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Information Science, Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Palantir, or advanced Excel (pivot tables, charts, macros).
• Strong technical skills in Python, SQL, R, or similar for data manipulation and analysis (preferred but not required).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and organizational skills.
• Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Interest in federal government contracting and technology services is a plus.
• US Citizen

Program Details

• Internship runs from mid-May to mid-August (start/end dates flexible based on your schedule)
• Open to part-time or full-time availability
• Internship is unpaid but offers hands-on experience, executive exposure, and potential academic credit
• This is a hybrid opportunity from our Fairfax, VA based HQ
