Senior Database Engineer:

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Sr. Database Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience in database development, management, architecture, migration, and optimization. Proficiency in SQL Server is mandatory, with additional expertise in NoSQL databases, Snowflake, and Cloud technologies considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Development and Management:
• • Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server and Other databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Write efficient, complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Collaborate with application developers to design and optimize database structures.
  • Implement and manage database security, backup, and recovery plans.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the database systems.
• Database Architecture and Design:
• • Design and implement database systems based on business requirements.
  • Ensure database architecture aligns with enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Create and maintain data models and database diagrams.
• Database Migration and Optimization:
• • Plan and execute data migrations between systems, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and hardware/software configuration.
  • Implement and maintain data replication and clustering solutions.
• Security and Compliance:
• • Implement database security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and policies.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Support and Troubleshooting:
• • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for database-related issues.
  • Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to assist with database-related application issues.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in database development, management, architecture, migration, and optimization.
  • Proven experience with SQL Server is mandatory. MySQL, PostgreSQL are preferable.
• Technical Skills:
• • Strong knowledge of SQL and T-SQL scripting.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based database services.
  • Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Understanding of database replication, clustering, and high availability solutions.
