Overview:
We are seeking a proactive HR Recruiter to manage the full life cycle of recruitment for non-technical positions across various departments. You’ll be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and placing top-quality talent while enhancing our employer brand and candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define staffing needs, job duties, qualifications, and job descriptions
• Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, campus events, networking, and professional platforms
• Screen resumes and applications, conduct phone/video/in-person interviews, and assess candidates’ skills, experience, soft skills, and cultural fit
• Coordinate interview processes—schedule meetings, assist with interview questions/tools, and liaise between candidates and hiring teams
• Extend offers, facilitate salary and benefits negotiation within guidelines, send official offer letters, and track acceptances.
• Support onboarding by coaching new hires, ensuring paperwork completion, and guiding them through the orientation process
• Manage applicant tracking systems (ATS), maintain candidate database, and generate regular reports on hiring metrics (time-to-fill, source-of-hire, etc.).
• Represent the employer brand—attend job fairs, network, and maintain a positive candidate journey
• Ensure legal compliance with labour laws, EEO standards, and internal HR policies.
• Continuously improve recruitment processes by monitoring trends, analyzing metrics, and implementing best practices
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
• 2–5+ years of experience in recruitment—ideally in non-technical roles.
• Proficiency in sourcing techniques and tools (ATS, job boards, LinkedIn, Boolean search, social recruiting)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and candidate-centred counselling skills
• Strong time management, organizational ability, attention to detail, and capacity to manage a diverse pipeline
• Familiarity with recruitment metrics and data-driven decision-making
• Solid understanding of compliance with employment laws and regulations
Preferred Experience:
• Experience managing high-volume or campus hiring campaigns.
• History of representing employer branding at external events (e.g., job fairs, networking sessions)
• Knowledge of competency-based recruitment and structured interviewing techniques
Working Conditions:
• Office-based with occasional travel for career fairs or hiring events.
• Prolonged computer use; occasional need to handle documentation or training materials
