Join Contour TestPrep as a Sales Consultant and play a pivotal role in guiding Year 6, 7, and 8 students and their families through one of the most important decisions of their academic journey. Backed by Contour Education, Victoria’s largest and fastest-growing tutoring company, TestPrep is our newest division, designed to reshape how students prepare for selective entry exams through innovative, comprehensive programs.
In this role, you’ll conduct 30-minute Welcome Consultations and 30-minute Results Review (Closing) Consultations via Zoom with high-intent families, helping them understand our programs, address concerns, and navigate the complete preparation pipeline from initial consultation through trial week to final enrolment. Your consultative approach will transform anxious families into confident, prepared students ready to achieve their selective entry dreams.

What you'll do
Student Consultation & Enrollment
- Conduct 30-minute 1-on-1 Welcome Consultations via Zoom with parents of prospective Year 6, 7, and 8 students, introducing Contour's selective entry preparation programs and guiding them to book free trials
- Run 30-minute 1-on-1 Results Review (Closing) Consultations via Zoom for parents whose children have completed their free trial, discussing diagnostic mock results and finalising enrollment
- Address questions, concerns, and objections from parents with consultative approach and genuine care for student outcomes
- Guide families through the complete sales pipeline from welcome through trial to enrolment
Student Engagement & Support
- Proactively follow up with trialling students and their parents via phone, text, and email before, during, and after their free trial week
- Ensure parents feel supported and informed throughout their child's diagnostic mock and trial lesson experience
- Follow up on student forms, missed sessions, feedback, and any questions from parents with initiative and urgency
- Maintain consistent communication touchpoints with parents throughout the complete trial process
Communication Management
- Handle inbound phone calls, texts, and website chat inquiries from parents with warmth and professionalism
- Serve as guiding voice for parents contacting Contour across all channels
- Execute outbound calling and follow-up campaigns to warm leads to book Welcome Consultations
- Maintain clear, convincing communication about Contour's selective entry preparation offerings and unique value proposition
Professional Development & Collaboration
- Complete comprehensive initial onboarding and training program
- Participate in weekly team meetings and ongoing training sessions in both group and 1-on-1 formats
- Contribute ideas for process improvements and team collaboration initiatives
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and skill development
Skill Requirements

Personal Requirements
Mandatory:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year outbound sales experience in a fast-paced B2C environment
- Communication: Confident, professional communicator who can control the flow of sales conversations via phone and Zoom
- Performance Driven: Strong track record of achieving KPIs and thriving in dynamic, high-pressure environments
- Student Champion: More than just a job — motivated to support families and students through their selective entry journey
- Professional Presence: Personable, confident, eloquent, and well-presented with a strong speaking voice
Ideal (but NOT Mandatory):
- Education sales experience (highly regarded but not essential)
- Background in consultative or parent-facing sales roles
- Proven ability to adapt quickly while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for both student experience and conversion outcomes

Work Schedule
- Weekdays: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM to maximise consultation availability and follow-up effectiveness
- Weekends: Shifts rostered on Saturdays & Sundays between 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Note: Evening and weekend availability essential to maximise student and parent availability for consultations and follow-up communications
Compensation
- $65,000 base + performance-based bonuses (OTE $105,000)
