As our People & Culture Business Partner, you’ll be the go-to for managers who want to grow, and the spark that turns good leaders into great ones. You’ll be hands-on in performance, culture, and coaching. Driving clarity, accountability, and confidence at every level.

Who are we


We empower students and their studies by providing an ecosystem of highly effective tutoring, resources and support. We run weekly small-group tutoring sessions, presented by young and experienced tutors that teach in a simple, intuitive and engaging way. We also supplement these sessions with weekly workshops, complimentary 1-on-1 support and a learning portal with a comprehensive suite of resources and practice material to help students master their subjects.

Over 8,000 students and 250+ team members have joined Contour since our founding in the beginning of 2020. Our growth is a testament to our dedication in providing ALL our students and parents with a premium learning experience (from 24/7 personal support to on-demand resources) and our commitment to helping them achieve their personal goals, and achieve success in their school assessments and exams. What You’ll Do

  • Coach with impact → Be the trusted advisor who equips leaders to hold performance conversations, navigate conflict, and grow their teams.
  • Challenge & enable → Push leaders to step up, with candour, confidence, and clear frameworks.
  • Build leadership muscle → Run workshops, clinics, and 1:1 coaching that stick long after the session ends.
  • Drive performance → Help leaders set goals, run reviews, and act fast on underperformance.
  • Shape culture → Embed rituals, values, and engagement practices that actually land.
  • Navigate ER with backbone → Guide managers through issues with steadiness and speed, always aligned to Fair Work.
  • Partner in growth → Work side by side with leaders in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, ensuring people and performance stay front and centre.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in People & Culture / HR partnering directly with leaders.
  • Start-up or scale-up experience preferred - you know how to thrive in high-change, high-growth environments.
  • Coaching chops - you don’t just advise; you coach, challenge, and elevate.
  • Performance management expertise - reviews, PIPs, feedback loops, capability building.
  • ER/IR literacy - confident guiding leaders through Fair Work–aligned processes.
  • Bold energy - fast, persuasive, bold; thrives in ambiguity and drives results.
  • Growth mindset - restless for impact, resilient under pressure, ambitious to grow with the business.
