About the role
- This position involves conducting research and development of innovative biomaterials for Contraline’s next-generation products and broader hydrogel platform.
What you'll do
- Assist in the design and execution of experimental benchtop studies towards the development of novel polymeric biomaterials
- Learn and perform mechanical and chemical characterizations of biomaterials
- Prototype medical devices for delivery of biomaterials and other procedural aspects
- Conducted literature reviews on novel indications and products in reproductive health
- Assist the R&D team with broader company objectives and projects as they come up
- Prepare data and reports for laboratory meetings and present to the team at the end of the internship
- Maintain timely and accurate laboratory records
Qualifications
- Actively working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering
- Experience in biomaterials, polymers, and/or medical device development is preferred, although demonstrated interest in these areas also helps
- Great communication skills
- Innovative and forward-thinking; great at problem-solving
- Hard working; strong dedication to the internship and project
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams
