OVERVIEW

Cooke & Associates, Inc. (CAI) is seeking an experienced, operationally focused Embedded Hybrid Corporate Security / EP Agent to support day-to-day security operations at a high-profile corporate headquarters in San Francisco. This role is designed for a seasoned security professional with prior law enforcement or military experience who can operate confidently in an armed, concealed-carry, plain-clothes capacity within a corporate environment.

The position requires a professional, discreet, and engaged individual capable of balancing visible security presence with sound judgment and situational awareness. The Embedded Agent will serve as part of an integrated security operation supporting access control, patrol, and incident response while aligning with corporate culture and operational expectations.

POSITION DETAILS

Location:                     

This is an onsite role supporting security operations at a corporate headquarters located along San Francisco’s Embarcadero. Candidates must currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area or be willing to relocate at their own expense. No remote work or relocation assistance is available.

Schedule:                    

Monday through Friday, day-shift business hours, 10-hour shifts.

Duration:                     

Initial assignment of approximately six (6) months, with potential extension based on performance and client needs.

Attire:                         

Plain-clothes, corporate-casual appearance consistent with a professional corporate environment.

Role Type:                   

Armed, concealed carry, plain-clothes corporate security.

Compensation:             

$50.00 per hour. Overtime eligibility subject to applicable state and federal labor laws.

Benefits:                      

Paid Time Off (PTO) in accordance with CAI policy.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position functions as an embedded, plain-clothes corporate security agent supporting daily security operations within a professional headquarters environment. The Embedded Agent maintains a visible security presence, conducts patrols, monitors access control, and responds to incidents in accordance with established protocols.

Executive protection responsibilities may be required on an as-needed basis and are not the primary function of this role. The Embedded Agent is expected to exercise sound judgment, maintain situational awareness, and operate with professionalism and discretion while coordinating with the client’s internal security team and CAI leadership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain professional lobby presence and provide coverage during front desk breaks as required.
  • Conduct visible foot patrols to support access control integrity and deter security issues.
  • Rotate between adjacent buildings to ensure consistent coverage and rapid response capability.
  • Respond to safety and security incidents in accordance with established procedures.
  • Coordinate with the client’s internal security team and CAI Operations Manager.
  • Provide limited executive protection support on an as-needed basis.
  • Maintain situational awareness and respond calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Support medical and emergency response plans when required.
  • Submit accurate daily activity logs and detailed incident reports.
  • Uphold professionalism and discretion to support continuity of business operations.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED

  • Minimum of five (5) years of prior law enforcement or military experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of executive protection experience.
  • Valid and current California BSIS Guard Card.
  • Valid and current California Exposed Firearm Permit.
  • Valid and current California Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit.
  • All required licenses and permits must be valid and current at time of hire and throughout employment.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong judgment, situational awareness, and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a plain-clothes, corporate environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with corporate standards.
  • Ability to work independently while integrating into an established security operation.
  • Proficiency with smartphones, radios, and standard communication platforms.
  • Subject to pre-employment and ongoing background checks and drug screening.

PREFERRED

Prior experience supporting corporate or critical-site security environments.

TECHNOLOGY & REPORTING EXPECTATIONS
  • Proficiency in the use of radios, smartphones, and security communication platforms.
  • Ability to use a computer for basic business functions, including email and internal systems.
  • Ability to accurately complete electronic activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Comfortable operating within CAI and client reporting and communication systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to conduct routine foot patrols across a multi-building site.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 25 pounds or more.
  • Ability to run short distances when required to respond to incidents.
  • Ability to safely and responsibly carry authorized equipment consistent with training and policy.
WHO THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR

This role is not suited for individuals seeking a passive or observational security position. It requires consistent engagement, situational awareness, and professional presence within an active corporate environment.

It is not appropriate for candidates unwilling to maintain alertness, visibility, and adherence to established procedures. Standing idle, excessive personal phone use, or lack of engagement with the environment are not aligned with the expectations of this role.
