About the role
Core Education is seeking a dynamic Admissions Counselor – Online Workforce Development enrollments play a vital role in the recruitment efforts of small to mid-sized colleges and universities. This remote position will involve supporting students looking to start or continue their education by quickly learning new skills and earning certifications that will help shape their career. The Admissions Counselor will focus on outreach communication, lead management, key conversion metrics and monthly enrollments. This position will require a flexible schedule working late nights and occasional Saturdays to ensure students are being reached during peak hours.
What you'll do
- Outreach and Engagement: Proactively communicate with prospective students via phone, text, and email to provide timely information about programs and requirements.
- Relationship Management: Build relationships with students to ensure a personalized admissions experience.
- Conversion Strategy: Execute targeted communication campaigns to improve conversion rates from lead to enrolled and contact to enrolled.
- Enrollment Support: Assist students through the enrollment process focused on starting courses immediately.
- Process Development: Build and implement efficient enrollment processes and procedures to optimize student recruitment and engagement.
- Data Management: Meet enrollment targets while maintaining accurate records of all interactions with prospective students using CRM systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our Student Success department to ensure students are prepared and complete their course.
- Finance: Effectively inform students of payment options and assist with processing payments.
- Career Support: Providing guidance on career paths and helping students prepare for the workforce.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in student recruitment, admissions, or a related field, preferably with a focus on online enrollments without financial aid assistance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and enrollment technologies.
- Proven track record of developing and improving processes to increase enrollment efficiency.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. Late nights and Saturdays may be required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with speaking on tuition and payment options that do not include financial aid.
