We are on a mission to build and foster a world-class team to bring speed, simplicity, and service to commercial insurance. We value integrity, humility, passion, and intelligence. If you want to push yourself, promote social good, and reshape a $200B+ market, we’re excited to talk to you!

What will the Agency Success Manager do?
Relationships are the cornerstone of business partnerships.  A strong, stable relationship helps both business partners thrive and excel in their partnership, and if strong enough, it can overcome any hurdles along the way.  At Coterie, we believe the key to creating those durable relationships is through the demonstration of our core values of integrity, passion, intelligence, and humility.  How is that accomplished with a digital-based platform where the ideal experience is quick self-service?  That’s where you come in.

Coterie is an insurtech company with digital solutions to cover any commercial property and casualty insurance need our commercial brokers, independent agents and policy holders have.  We operate nationally and have thousands of partners who come to us in many different ways.  However, insurance is a relationship business, and many healthy business partnerships in this industry require correspondence and interactivity to remain engaged.  They build their own businesses through roots in their community, and they want to work with someone they know they can just “pick up the phone and call”.  As an Agent Success Manager, you will help guide our brokers and independent agents through the Coterie experience, providing that sense of relationship to an audience far too large to consistently call and check in.  Through the application of our core values, you will serve as the bond between Coterie and the marketplace.  You will be responsible for broad scale engagement, utilizing technology and partnering with our marketing team to grow a multitude of relationships at once.

As an Agent Success Manager for our Growth team, you will manage all of Coterie’s broker and independent agent relationships that are not individually managed by someone else on the team.  This role will include devising and executing relationship management strategies on a broad scale, through clever application of creativity, technology, and industry experience.  As a result, you will be expected to collaborate with many different teams across Coterie to ensure partner needs and issues are addressed in the company as a whole.  In turn, you’ll provide feedback from the field to various teams who otherwise wouldn’t receive it, and similarly advise the field of new and exciting updates at Coterie.  You’ll collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies, campaigns, and promotions that align with Coterie’s vision and support our partner’s initiatives, and through it all, you’ll be asked to analyze partnership performance and report on key metrics to established stakeholders.

What you need to have:

  • An ability to express empathy amongst a diverse group of people and organizations, internally and externally, on a broad scale
  • Comfortability managing a large volume of activity, both as a resource yourself, and acting as a conduit to other teams as needed
  • One to five years’ experience in the property and casualty insurance field, with a preference toward relationship management, sales, production underwriting, and/or any other role that demonstrates technical knowledge and interaction with independent agents
  • Initiative to see a business need/opportunity, devise a project, put together a team of internal stakeholders, execute, and provide a summary of results to the rest of the organization
  • A preference for team-oriented work, with a desire to develop group strategy and execution in a business services setting
  • Familiarity with using CRM systems (Client Relation Management) as a documentation and account management tool
  • A growth mentality for tackling new issues and a creative approach to developing new ways to engage agents

What will make you stand out:

  • Existing relationships with commercial insurance brokers and independent agents
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with contemporary API-based Tech platforms
  • SaaS platform fluency and understanding of the tech implementation process
  • Start-up experience

Our interview process:

Our hiring process generally consists of 3 phases.

  • Phase 2: Selected candidates will be invited to participate in our PDP survey and meet with our Hiring Manager for a 2nd interview via Teams video. This interview is designed to be more detail oriented and allows you to learn more about the role
  • Phase 3: Top candidates will receive an invite for our final interview series via Teams video. This series will include an experiential exercise project (provided in advance), 1:1 interviews with selected team members and a culture focused interview.
