Position Summary:
The Vice President of Strategic Technology Partnerships is responsible for collaborations with key technology providers, platforms, and ecosystem partners. Working cross-functionally with insurance, compliance, engineering, growth, DnA, and other stakeholders, the VP ensures partnerships are strategically aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable value. The position also monitors emerging technologies and industry trends to identify innovative partnership opportunities, while leading a team focused on optimizing long-term strategic technology relationships and delivering near-term stakeholder value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strengthen and expand existing strategic partnerships: Serve as the primary executive relationship contact for key technology partners, deepening collaboration and ensuring ongoing alignment with mutual business objectives.
- Drive successful delivery of partner-based initiatives: Lead cross-functional efforts to implement projects and integrations built on partner technologies, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and with clear business impact.
- Translate partner capabilities into business value: Identify opportunities to leverage partner technologies to solve internal and customer challenges, delivering measurable outcomes for stakeholders across the organization.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution: Work closely across departments to ensure partner-driven initiatives are resourced and executed effectively.
- Maintain strong governance and communication: Establish clear operating rhythms with partners and internal stakeholders, including roadmap alignment, project status tracking, and executive-level updates.
- Measure and communicate impact: Define success metrics for partner-driven projects and regularly report on outcomes, adoption, and value delivered to internal leadership and partner stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in technology partnerships, product management, or program leadership within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry, Insurtech, or financial services.
- Demonstrated experience managing strategic technology partners, ideally including platforms used in insurance ecosystems such as FiveSigma (claims management), Functional Finance (billing/financial infrastructure), Stripe (payments), and IVANS (insurance connectivity and distribution).
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance operations, including policy administration, billing, claims, agency connectivity, and insurance data exchange workflows.
- Proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional technology projects, including integrations, platform implementations, and partner-driven product initiatives.
- Experience translating partner technologies into business outcomes, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable value for internal stakeholders such as product, operations, finance, and distribution teams.
- Strong program and project management capabilities, including defining roadmaps, managing timelines and dependencies, and coordinating technical and business teams across organizations.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, executives, and external partner leadership.
- Experience establishing governance and operational rhythms with external partners, including roadmap alignment, quarterly business reviews, and executive-level relationship management.
- Familiarity with modern API-driven platforms, SaaS integrations, and insurance ecosystem connectivity, particularly within Insurtech and digital insurance environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across partner organizations and internal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant industry certifications are a plus.
Our interview process:
Our hiring process generally consists of 3 phases. The goal is to provide an opportunity for us to learn more about our candidates while allowing them to get to know us as well!
- Phase 1: Qualified candidates will first meet with a member of our People Operations team for a phone interview. This discussion is a high-level conversation to understand more about your background and interests and for us to share more about Coterie and the position.
- Phase 2: Selected candidates will be invited to meet with our Hiring Manager for a 2nd interview via Teams video. This interview is designed to be more detail oriented and allows you to learn more about the role
- Phase 3: Top candidates will receive an invite for our final interview series via Teams video. This series will include an experiential exercise project (provided in advance), 1:1 interviews with selected team members. The final series is roughly 1.5-3 hours in total but can be scheduled over a few days for flexibility.

- Annual salary estimated between $180,000-$225,000 based on national data. Candidates who meet all the minimum requirements and possess additional relevant experience, as outlined in the job description, may be considered for a salary above the midpoint of the above range. Salary is based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; degrees or certifications, etc.
