About the role

Working closely with the Head of Marketing, the Community Manager will be responsible for growing and managing CoVet’s online and offline presence, fostering meaningful connections within the veterinary industry, and strengthening brand visibility through strategic community-building efforts. This role is essential in supporting our marketing and growth strategy, contributing to customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.


What you'll do

Social Media Management

  • Develop and execute a monthly content calendar across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit).
  • Create engaging content tailored for veterinarians, including posts, polls, videos, and discussions.
  • Actively engage with followers, respond to comments, and monitor trends to refine social strategies.
  • Support leadership in posting and engaging on CoVet’s social media accounts.
  • Analyze social media performance and optimize content strategy.

Public Relations & Influencer Outreach

  • Develop and execute media outreach plans targeting veterinary publications.
  • Craft press releases, partnership announcements, and pitch decks.
  • Identify and collaborate with veterinary influencers and thought leaders.
  • Track media mentions and analyze the impact of PR campaigns.

Event Planning & Industry Engagement

  • Organize CoVet’s presence at veterinary conferences, trade shows, and webinars.
  • Develop event marketing materials and coordinate press interviews.
  • Collect and analyze event leads and partnership opportunities.
  • Co-host industry events, webinars, or workshops.

Content Marketing

  • Develop educational content such as blog posts, case studies, white papers, and FAQs.
  • Collaborate with veterinary professionals to create industry-specific content.
  • Coordinate the creation of video tutorials and explainer videos.

Customer Engagement & Advocacy

  • Develop and moderate an online veterinary community forum or group.
  • Organize customer feedback sessions and encourage user-generated content.
  • Increase customer reviews and respond professionally to feedback.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to identify brand ambassadors.


What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in community management, social media, PR, or events.
  • Strong background in content creation and copywriting (essential).
  • Proven ability to define and track success metrics, such as audience growth, engagement rates, media placements, and event-driven lead generation.
  • Experience leading social media growth, PR campaigns, and event marketing.
  • Veterinary industry knowledge or experience in adjacent industries is a plus.
  • Experience in brand development, journalism, or public relations is an advantage.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English + French, Spanish, Dutch, or Portuguese) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with social media and marketing tools (e.g., Later, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Hubspot) is a bonus.

The pay range for this role is:

75,000 - 85,000 CAD per year (Canada)
