The mission of the IT & Security Intern at Cozey

The IT & Security Intern will support Cozey’s IT & Security team in delivering reliable day-to-day technology support and strengthening the company’s security posture. Working from an operations-first perspective, the intern will assist with ticket triage, endpoint remediation, and foundational identity and access tasks—helping resolve employee issues, respond to security alerts, and improve device security. The role also plays an important part in supporting Cozey’s cybersecurity awareness efforts, helping employees adopt secure practices through coordination, communication, and follow-up. This opportunity is ideal for a highly analytical, growth-oriented student pursuing studies in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 

What you'll be doing

• Provide first-line IT support to employees, including device and access troubleshooting.
• Triage and manage IT support tickets, escalating issues as needed and documenting resolutions.
• Review and analyze security alerts from internal tools and our external SOC partner, performing initial investigation and follow-up.
• Support endpoint security remediation by coordinating updates, addressing vulnerabilities, and tracking compliance. 
• Assist with identity and access improvements, including application inventory and SSO enablement activities. 
• Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives through coordination, employee communications, and program tracking. 

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a program related to Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in IT operations, security, and how technology supports people at scale.
• Comfortable troubleshooting technical issues and following documented processes.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn new tools and systems.
• Able to communicate clearly with non-technical teammates and provide friendly, supportive assistance.
• Trustworthy and able to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
