The mission of the Operations Intern at Cozey

As an Operations Intern, your primary responsibilities will include driving Fulfillment Centers (FC) efficiency by analyzing spend, performance, and SKU placement while ensuring data accuracy, optimizing processes, and assisting your department with other related tasks.

What you'll be doing

• You will support analysis of FC operations, including supply spend, performance metrics, and opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
• You will contribute to FC optimization by mapping product flows, reviewing SKU velocity, and recommending adjustments to product placement or racking configurations.
• You will assist with inventory accuracy by updating stock information in WMS and Shopify, reconciling variances, and maintaining product data for launches or discontinuations.
• You will help maintain operational documentation, such as returns procedures and product-specific guides, while ensuring processes remain clear and up to date.
• You will analyze transportation and purchasing data, including carrier performance, spare parts usage, and inbound freight information, to generate insights that guide decisions.
• You will collaborate with the Demand Planning team on forecasting projects, database updates, and system integrity checks to ensure smooth operational workflows.

What we're looking for

• You are currently in a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• You are eager to gain hands-on experience in logistics, operations, and data analysis through a professional setting.
• You are comfortable working with numbers and enjoy using tools like Excel or Google Sheets to organize and analyze data.
• You are curious about how Fulfillment Center and inventory work, and you are motivated to learn concepts such as product placement and stock management.
• You are recognized for your attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to ask the right questions when facing challenges.
• You have a strong interest in supply chain and operations and want to contribute to a dynamic and growing team environment.
