We are looking for a passionate and experienced Director, Product Design to join the rapidly growing Cozey team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day project schedules, deliver design presentations, specifications, and follow-up to ensure our products are exceptional, and will ensure that all product design deadlines and key calendar dates are met.

What You’ll Be Doing:  

  • Oversee design of all items in the relevant product categories, from initial concept through approval 
  • Drive calendar to ensure all deadlines and key dates are met 
  • Manage project schedules of Design team consisting of 2 designers 
  • Manage and develop work product of junior designers 
  • Manage production of sketches and renderings, and present to relevant stakeholders 
  • Review of factory produced drawings for accuracy 
  • Manage the specification of all hardware. 
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of material and process technologies applicable to new product development 
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external resources to ensure new product development success 
  • Evaluate design prototypes and ensure accuracy of work prior to final production 
  • Other related tasks 

What We’re Looking For:  

  • Experience in the home furniture industry required 
  • Degree in Design required 
  • 8 year professional experience required3 years of which were in a managerial role 
  • Strong project and time management skills 
  • Very organized and detail oriented 
  • Analytical and curious  
  • Must be an expert in Solidworks and Adobe Suite  
  • Experience with artistic renderings, CAD models, 3D modeling, physical models, and written reports 
  • Experienced in designing to a budget and have a working knowledge of the cost implications of the materials and manufacturing techniques used in the execution of your designs 
  • Team player capable of working cross-functionally
