Job Title: AI Architect (IT)
Pay Range: $150,000-$175,000 Annual Base Salary
Position Summary:
The AI Architect owns the technical design, engineering implementation, and operational sustainability of CPRS’s AI solutions. This role is accountable for translating approved business use cases and product requirements into secure, scalable, and production-ready AI architectures that deliver reliable performance in real-world enterprise environments. The AI Architect does not own enterprise prioritization, roadmap decisions, or business value realization. Instead, this role partners closely with the AI Product Manager to ensure that technical solutions are feasible, well-architected, efficiently delivered, and capable of achieving defined success criteria.
Specific Responsibilities (Key tasks and outcomes):

- Translate approved AI use cases and product requirements into end-to-end technical architectures.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI and machine learning solutions in production environments.
- Own technical implementation across data pipelines, models, integrations, infrastructure, and workflows.
- Select appropriate AI techniques, tools, and platforms based on functional requirements, scalability, security, and cost considerations.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and platform teams to ensure successful deployment and integration.
- Tune, optimize, and monitor models and solutions to ensure performance, reliability, and usability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AI systems, data quality, and production performance.
- Establish and maintain architecture standards, reusable patterns, and technical documentation.
- Advise the AI Product Manager on feasibility, complexity, risks, and technical tradeoffs.
- Stay current on AI technologies and recommend practical enhancements aligned to enterprise needs.
Position Requirements:
Knowledge Components:
- Strong programming and solution architecture expertise in AI and machine learning.
- Deep understanding of model development, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Strong technical communication skills for working with non-technical stakeholders.
Experience (Years and types):
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in solution or data architecture roles.
- 3+ years delivering AI or advanced analytics solutions in production environments.
Skills and Abilities:
- Expertise in Python and modern ML frameworks.
- Experience deploying AI in regulated or enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, data pipelines, and MLOps practices.
Success Measures
- AI solutions are production-ready, reliable, and scalable.
- Technical implementations meet defined performance and security standards.
- AI capabilities integrate seamlessly into enterprise systems and workflows.
- Leadership views the AI Architect as a trusted technical authority.
