The Crane Center is a world-renowned Transgender surgical practice, with locations in Greenbrae, California, Boulder, Colorado, and Austin, Texas. We have eight highly specialized surgeons and a multidisciplinary clinical team which allows us to offer all aspects of gender-affirming surgery.

  • Volume: Low and consistent surgeries, monthly and annually

Practice Manager


Reports to: Director of Operations

Supervises: Operations Support Staff

Overtime Status: Exempt


The role of Practice Manager is designed to ensure all staff have a consistent support system for day-to-day operations of the Crane Center. The Practice Manager will have an active role in practice-wide communication, office culture, and productivity.


Primary Job Responsibilities:

· In collaboration with the Director of Operations, provide daily leadership to practice staff.

· Oversee all aspects of clinic and surgery schedules to ensure maximum efficiency.

· Perform regular audits.

· Collaborate with the RCM Department to ensure all necessary authorization documentation is in place.

· Active participation in building and creating an effective team, by participating in hiring and training of new staff, providing input for yearly staff performance reviews.

· Assist with policy development, implementation, and compliance.

· Participate in community outreach and relationship building.

· Interfaces with appropriate vendor and customers.

· Takes appropriate action in responding to questions and concerns from patients.

· Provide coverage for operations support staff, as needed.

· Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Experience, Education, Abilities, and Skills:


· Bachelor’s Degree required, with Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration preferred.

· At least 3-5 years’ experience in hospital, medical or surgical practices.

· Proven track record of accomplishments related to healthcare operations.

· Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

· Knowledge of CPT and ICD codes.

· Experience with EMR.

· Evidence of strong leadership qualities.

· Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, operational, and organizational skills.

· Must have the ability to work independently with minimal instructions, multi-task with commitment to accuracy, detail, follow-up, and follow-through.

· Experienced with Office 365, Adobe, and other related products.


  • Salary: $85,000-$100,000
    • $85,000-$90,000: Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration with 3 years’ experience
    • $90,000-$95,000: Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration with 5 years’ experience
    • $95,000-$100,000: Master’s in Healthcare Administration with 5 years’ experience
