DESCRIPTION


The Crane Center seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Financial Coordinator to join our team. The Patient Financial Coordinator will be responsible for providing accurate Good Faith Estimates as well as Self-Pay Agreements, organizing and maintaining patient records, and ensuring timely reimbursement from patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures and regulations, excellent attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients.

Generating and issuing Good Faith Estimates to patients and collecting payments.

Generating and issuing Self-Pay agreements to patients and collecting payments.

Communicate with patients to collect outstanding balances and explain billing processes.

Ensuring insurance details are accurately entered into the system.

Updating and maintaining patient insurance information when it changes.

Reviewing upcoming appointments to identify any copay/coinsurance/deductible needing collected.

Maintaining certified claim mailing.

Requesting and uploading operative reports.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and reimbursement policies.

Other duties as applicable


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, ABILITIES AND SKILLS


High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing.

Proficiency in using medical billing software.

Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of insurance billing policies and procedures.

Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical privacy laws.
