About Crane Center for Transgender Surgery
The Crane Center is a world-renowned Transgender surgical practice, with clinical locations in Greenbrae, CA, Boulder, CO, and Austin, TX. We have eight highly specialized surgeons and a multidisciplinary clinical team, which allows us to offer all aspects of gender affirming surgery.
About the role
Our headquarters office in Austin, TX provides Human Resources support for all three locations. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for various HR management tasks, including employee benefits administration, employee relations, and ensuring the implementation and maintenance of HR policies. Day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to managing the HRIS system, addressing employee inquiries and issues, coordinating training sessions, onboarding new employees and supporting HR initiatives to improve workplace culture and compliance. The Senior Human Resources Generalist plays a key strategic and operational role within HR, bridging employee-facing support and leadership initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment Support: Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, interviewing and coordinating candidate communication. Update and maintain job postings on company website and external job boards.
- Onboarding and Orientation: Coordinate new hire onboarding process, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting background checks, and coordinating orientation sessions. Ensure new employees have a positive onboarding experience and access to necessary resources.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS and electronic files. Ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements and assist with data entry, file organization, and record retention procedures.
- Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits enrollment process and answer employee inquiries regarding benefits eligibility, coverage, and enrollment procedures. Coordinate with benefits providers and HR Director to resolve issues and ensure timely processing of benefits-related tasks.
- HR Administration: Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including managing incoming inquiries, scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and maintaining departmental supplies and materials. Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures and assist with the dissemination of HR-related information to employees. Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations and assist with updating HR policies and practices accordingly.
- HRIS Maintenance: Ensure HRIS system is always up to date including employee information, training documents, etc.
Key Qualifications
- Healthcare industry experience in a hospital, medical or surgical practice
- Experience in Human Resources Management
- Skills in Benefit Administration and Employee Relations
- Policy Creation and Compliance
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in HRIS system and implementation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Education / Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- 5 or more years of progressive HR experience
- HRIS System – Preferably Rippling
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP

- Normal work hours will be Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
