Job Summary

The Sync Licensing Intern will have to opportunity to assist with managing and organizing metadata for our catalog, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information. The primary focus of this role will be reaching out to clients to obtain recording and publishing splits, contact information for non-CMG rights holders, and IPI & PRO details. The intern will be responsible for updating and maintaining this metadata in DISCO and internal tracking sheets. Additional responsibilities include supporting music licensing and clearance efforts, assisting with pitch preparation, and researching rights and restrictions within our catalog.

Responsibilities

  • Metadata Management: Collect and update recording and publishing splits, rights holder contact details, IPI & PRO numbers, and other key metadata in DISCO and internal databases.
  • Client Outreach: Communicate with clients to verify and obtain missing metadata for both distribution and publishing assets.
  • Catalog Organization: Ensure metadata accuracy and completeness for new releases and catalog tracks.
  • Research & Rights Management: Identify rights and restrictions associated with our music catalog.
  • Sync Pitch Support: Assist in preparing pitches for Film, TV, Video Games, and other media.
  • Clearance & Administration: Support the team in licensing processes and day-to-day operational tasks.

Qualifications 

  • Based in Los Angeles preferred.
  • Must be enrolled in a 4-year university during the internship.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with DISCO or similar catalog management platforms is a plus.
  • Previous experience in sync licensing or catalog management is preferred.

Pay Scale

  • This internship is for college credit.
  • Eligible candidates must be enrolled in a university and continue to be enrolled for the duration of the internship.
  • Graduates are not eligible for the internship.
  • Candidates must be able to provide documents/eligibility requirements in order to receive college credit or the applicant will be disqualified.
