Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee global payroll operations and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple regions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in global payroll systems, compliance, and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all global employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations
- Coordinate with HR to receive employee data updates, such as new hires, terminations, salary changes, and deductions
- Collaborate with external payroll vendors to process payroll in various global regions
- Ensure compliance with international, federal, and local payroll laws and tax regulations
- Prepare and review payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data confidentiality and security
- Handle inquiries and issues related to payroll, addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Develop and improve payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Support Finance in payroll-related audits and reporting
- Manage accurate and timely payroll tax filings with Finance
- Ensure Employer Tax ID registrations are established across assigned regions
- Respond to Government & State inquiries regarding payroll
- Manage Payroll garnishments and tax notices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, with a focus on global payroll operations
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software; experience with Rippling is a plus
- Understanding of international payroll compliance and tax regulations
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and regions
- Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite (Email, Sheets, Docs)
- Proficient in managing Excel spreadsheets
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Pay Scale
- $105,000 - $125,000 annually
The pay range for this role is:
105,000 - 125,000 USD per year (Los Angeles Office)
