Senior Associate, M&A

Job Summary

The Senior Associate, M&A is a results-driven and detail-oriented individual who will be a key day-to-day contributor and will support the entire M&A deal lifecycle from deal origination to deal execution to post-acquisition integration. This role will also support and collaborate with other teams including Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and Data & Analytics.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial analysis and due diligence support for the acquisition of music catalog, labels, publishers, or other artist assets
  • Build financial models of music catalogs and other acquisitions for the purposes of valuation and synergy analysis
  • Assist in M&A transactions with financial analysis, due diligence and general process support and coordination
  • Prepare and contribute to financing analyses, covenant reporting, and support M&A forecasting and reporting
  • Develop and present comprehensive business cases and presentations for M&A opportunities and decisions
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives within the Corporate Development team
  • Conduct market research and gather in-market M&A data and music industry insights to inform deal strategies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
  • 3+ year of experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking, M&A advisory, or consulting
  • Advanced skills in Excel; previous experience building detailed financial, valuation, M&A models
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong written/verbal presentation, communication, interpersonal skills
  • Ability to gain credibility and trust with senior leaders and decision-makers
  • Solution and results oriented with ability to solve problems
  • Previous experience and understanding of Tableau, BigQuery, and SQL preferred
  • Previous music industry M&A experience preferred

Pay Scale

  • $90,000 - $140,000 per year
  • The final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
