JOB SUMMARY


This position will be responsible for assisting in the capital raising and investment activities pertaining to a multi-billion real estate investment portfolio consisting of commercial, multifamily, and single-family rental assets. Specifically, the role will provide analysis, research, due diligence, and financial oversight to support capital deployment in the development, acquisition, and financing of Crescent’s assets. The position will be expected to work across the organization to support investment objectives and will report to the Senior Vice President of Capital Markets.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain complex real estate financial models to analyze returns, capital inflows and outflows. Serve as the primary liaison between the Finance team and Development business units regarding underwriting standards, development and operating models, and disposition analyses.
  • Participate and assist in the process of sourcing, executing and overseeing project and portfolio-level financing.
  • Assume responsibility for the full lifecycle of developments beginning with initial investment analysis and underwriting, participation in capitalization, and closing functions through asset disposition.
  • Evaluate and underwrite development investments, prepare investment memorandums, and presentations to various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in the structuring and execution of joint ventures and other capitalization strategies for real estate developments.
  • Research and prepare economic and market analysis of investment opportunities and support the Investment Committee process.
  • Assist the Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and business unit teams with the annual business planning process for Crescent’s business lines.
  • Support ongoing internal reporting efforts by the Finance, FP&A, and business unit teams.
  • Engage with external stakeholders including capital partners, property managers, consultants, brokers and other service providers.
  • Contribute to the growth of Crescent’s business lines through the evaluation of new developments, acquisitions, and markets.
  • Build relationships with industry participants to strengthen Crescent’s presence and deal network.
  • Collaborate with business unit colleagues to ensure objectives are achieved while maintaining a high level of colleague engagement and growth,

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS


Education and Experience


Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting; MBA or other financial credentials welcomed.
  • 4+ years progressive experience; preference for knowledge in commercial real estate; office and/or industrial skillset desired.
  • Strong quantitative skills, analytical problem solving
  • Experience reviewing legal documents, negotiating financial agreements and deal structures with emphasis on capital markets in real estate.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and a strong team player
  • Willingness to be proactive in engaging with industry peers, partners, and organizations to strengthen the company’s presence and opportunities in the real estate market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with enterprise valuation, real estate models, structured finance, capital transactions, and cash-flow modeling.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and financial modeling skills
  • Ability to work in dynamic situations and present independent conclusions in a professional manner.
  • Strong organization skills: must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • This position will be an in-office position consistent with Crescent’s flexible work environment policy.

  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard, phone, calculator and other office equipment with or without accommodations.
  • Seeing to read a variety of materials
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to transport 10-25 lbs. (computer, files, etc.)
  • Move about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Ability to work under stressful, fast-paced conditions

  • Flexible working hours are M-F, 8:00am – 5:00pm (alternate schedule may apply). 
  • Must have reliable transportation
