Crescent Communities is seeking a Development Analyst to join the company’s Commercial business unit to support the financial operations, strategic planning, and development of a large-scale master-planned community, The River District. This role will focus on financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, market research, and other development-related tasks to assist in the successful delivery of multi-phase residential, commercial, and mixed-use development.  This position will work closely with the project’s Senior Managing Director, Development Manager, and Director of Land Development.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Work closely with the development team to support routine project tasks, such as budgets, proforma modeling, and schedules in alignment of the annual project business plan goals.
  • Perform development related analyses of master plan community and mixed-use investment, including the preparation of complex development models utilizing Excel.
  • Assist in the preparation of investment committee and board-level presentations
  • Prepare various presentations, including memos, reports, and PowerPoint presentations in support of business ongoing development initiatives
  • Support the Development Manager with routine budgeting and strategic planning for the long-term development of Charlottes premier Mixed-Use Master Plan Community (The River District.)
  • Support and participate in monthly project reporting and presentations
  • Support the Director of Land Development with onsite field development tasks, such as city and contractor coordination efforts.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, real estate, economics, accounting, or related field
  • 1-3 years relevant experience; prior mixed-use development, consulting, or real estate experience preferred
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Excel and intermediate financial modeling skills
  • Exceptional mindfulness to detail
  • Collaborative team player with strong work ethic, positive attitude and a commitment to excellence
  • Ability to think critically and creatively
  • Strong quantitative and analytical/problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to condense complex information into concise and clear executive level summaries.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with AI tools preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Communicate and converse to exchange information
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard, phone, calculator and other office equipment with or without accommodations.
  • Seeing to read a variety of materials
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to transport 10-25 lbs. (computer, files, etc.)
  • Move about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Ability to work under stressful, fast-paced conditions

  • Flexible working hours are M-F, 8:00am – 5:00pm (alternate schedule may apply). 
  • Must have reliable transportation
