We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Assistant Property Manager to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday with an occasional evening or weekend to address tenant or property issues.  This is not a remote position, but we allow flexibility on an as needed basis.   


What you'll do


This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of commercial properties. This role involves assisting the property management team with tenant relations, handling administrative tasks, coordinating maintenance requests, and ensuring compliance with property regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Support property management team and facilitate communication with tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with collection of rent, payment of expenses, and compliance with lease terms.
  • Oversee service contracts, tracking expirations and preparing bid packages when necessary.
  • Prepares and distributes communication to tenants regarding property updates, maintenance schedules, and policy changes.
  • Assists with completing regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively.
  • Coordinate and schedules routine maintenance and repair work for the property.
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and maintenance staff to ensure timely and quality service.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for property maintenance and improvements.
  • Monitor and report on property financial performance, including income, expenses, and profitability.

Qualifications


This position requires the following skills and qualifications.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in property management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in property management or a related administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with property management software, Yardi, AppFolio and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen (both required).

The pay range for this role is:

50,000 - 60,000 USD per year (Indianapolis, Indiana)
