Job Summary

Cruise Planners is seeking a Social Media Programs Strategist to join our team. The strategist will be an innovator to help grow our Cruise Planners Home Office and travel advisor network presence across priority social media networks, including Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, LinkedIN and Youtube. The strategist will report to the Director of Social Media Programs.

In this role, you’ll be our digital storyteller, trendsetter and community builder. The content producer will be responsible for collaborating with internal teams, travel advisors, partners, and suppliers to conceptualize, repurpose, and produce original content that is distinctly Cruise Planners. An ideal candidate will excel at producing assets that can live across multiple digital properties in a collaborative environment.


Responsibilities

  • Co-manage and schedule daily content across multiple social media channels for the Cruise Planners Travel Advisor network and corporate accounts.
  • Maintain a strategic, rolling content calendar for the CPsocial program and Corporate social media channels, producing engaging content that promotes the value of a travel advisor.
  • Research and monitor industry trends, platform updates, and audience preferences to create timely and relevant content.
  • Optimize content for SEO and understand platform algorithms to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Develop content optimized for social media that amplifies the Cruise Planners brand and messaging, inspiring consumers to act.
  • Collaborate and assist the Marketing team with content for travel partner-sponsored initiatives and other marketing materials.
  • Knowledge of Facebook Ads to create effective ad campaigns, monitor and track results.
  • Create and present digital marketing updates and provide continuous education to Home Office Team and Franchisees (includes video updates, live webinars, in-person training, and more).
  • Identify appropriate social media channels for specific business needs and tailor campaigns to the target audience.
  • Conduct research and interviews to learn more about current trends and then contextualizing findings.
  • Analyze results and adjust posts to optimize engagement. 
  • Serve as a sales advocate for the CPSocial program to build subscribers in the Pro and Elite levels.

Competencies

  • A strong creative vision and the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
  • Skill in using content creation tools (e.g., graphic design, video editing software) and content management systems (CMS).
  • Knowledgeable on the various social media content types including videos, graphics, photos, and text.
  • Deep understanding of different social media platforms, their features, and their audience behaviors.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong grasp of grammar and style.
  • Ability to interpret analytics, understand key metrics, and use insights to inform content strategy.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage projects, deadlines, and resources effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with team members and communicating content ideas.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3+ years of professional experience working in the travel & hospitality industry.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience in content production or similar role.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing published content across various formats and platforms.


This is a hybrid role (Remote: Mondays and Fridays, Onsite: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays)
