About the role

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be a key player in running electrical projects from start to finish. You’ll team up with various groups, subcontractors, and clients to make sure everything runs smoothly, on schedule, within budget, and with top-notch quality and safety.

What you'll do

  • Lead and manage different electrical projects, big or small.
  • Create and stick to project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Keep an eye on how things are going and tweak things as needed to hit your goals.
  • Guide the project teams and keep communication flowing.
  • Build solid relationships with clients through good communication and quick responses.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and more to nail down project needs and expectations.
  • Keep clients happy by delivering quality work and tackling concerns head-on.
  • Handle project resources like labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Oversee subcontractors to make sure they follow project needs and safety rules.
  • Sort out any resource issues or conflicts that pop up.
  • Track project budgets and spending, making sure costs are in check.
  • Spot cost-saving chances and bring in strategies to boost project profits.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safety protocols are enforced on-site.
  • Stay compliant with industry standards and regulations.
  • Focus on quality, keeping tabs on workmanship and materials.
  • Identify project risks and come up with ways to handle them.
  • Put risk management plans in place to avoid hiccups and delays.
  • Keep good project documentation, like progress reports and change orders.
  • Give regular updates to company leadership.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or similar is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing electrical projects in construction.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems and codes.
  • A history of juggling multiple projects successfully.
  • Great leadership, communication, and people skills.
  • Familiarity with tools like Accubid, McCormick, Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office.
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and keeping clients happy.
  • 5+ years of PM experience and managing projects up to $10 million is a plus.
  • PMP or similar certifications are also a bonus.

Physical Requirements

  • Expect to be on your feet a lot and out in the field.
