About the position:
Due to the continued national and international growth at Cullen Jewellery, we are expanding our workshop team and want you to be a part of it!
We are after passionate and dedicated jewellers/diamond setters to join our wonderful in-house team in Kew. We have an ever growing team of diligent jewellers, setters and polishers on board with us, in an environment which welcomes and fosters continual feedback and development. With state of the art equipment at your disposal and a supportive and encouraging team around you, this is the opportunity to join an incredible team at a very exciting time for the company.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Setting diamonds and coloured stones using pave, cutdown, bright cut, fancy prong, bead, channel and burnishing setting techniques;
- Jeweling tasks such as resizing, general repairs, polishing and cast cleaning;
- Collaborating with jewellers or CAD designers/technicians on stone placement, and layouts in metal for selected new products;
- Recommending suitable setting techniques and technical solutions that jewellers/setters in higher volume production can adopt;
- Inspecting mountings prior to setting and reviewing work after setting completion;
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and providing feedback regarding jeweling or setting technique or design improvements.
What are we seeking?
- Experience in various setting techniques - ability to evaluate the space needed for setting pave or beadwork, and provide stone layouts in model or castings;
- Experience working with precious metals, diamonds and coloured stones;
- Ability to evaluate and recommend stone layouts in metal for new products and maintain a minimum of stone breakage and loss;
- Outstanding organisational, interpersonal and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail in your work;
- Experience performing and troubleshooting setting repairs;
- A desire to readily give and receive constructive feedback and encouragement for the growth and development of skills; and
- A team player who wants to be part of a fantastic company working alongside a dedicated and supportive team!
