We are currently searching for an Associate Sales Advisor in our Grand Rapids market to support our Sales staff in the Healthcare vertical market. As an Associate Sales Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team to achieve targets and deliver exceptional customer service. This role will be responsible for providing administrative assistance, managing customer inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of the sales process. The ideal candidate should be motivated, with a growth mindset to learn the sales process, while supporting Custer’s healthcare accounts. Effective communication skills, attention to detail, a proactive attitude towards problem-solving. 

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Develop a complete understanding of the Custer business model and contract furniture industry including the sales processes. 
  • Provide administrative support to the Sales team by preparing customer quotes and following up on customer projects. 
  • Ability to attend customer meetings to develop relationships with our major healthcare accounts.
  • Provide prompt and effective response to our customer inquiries.
  • Provide product information, pricing, and availability to customers as needed.
  • Work with Sales Advisor to complete bids.
  • Assist with account receivables. 
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for cross-selling products to customers.
  • Collaborate with Project Coordinators and Interior Designers to learn the sales installation process and project scope. 
  • Work closely with the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving sales processes and customer service delivery.
  • Work closely with Project Management and Operations with sales related installation and punch list follow up.
  • Attend monthly Sales staff meetings. 
  • Attend monthly vendor lunch-n learns to gain an understanding of product offerings.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • A minimum of 3 + years’ work experience.  
  • Background or market experience in commercial furniture, architecture, interior design, a plus 
Work Environment: Custer Grand Rapids office with occasional customer tours and project site visits.
