We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temporary Cash Receipts/Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing customer payments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting accounting operations during a specific project or busy period. The ideal candidate has a background in bookkeeping, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with computer software, particularly Excel and Word.
This is a temporary full-time position, with an expected duration of [6-12 months]. The exact end date may vary based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
· Process, reconcile, scan, and post customer payments accurately and efficiently each day.
· Ensure all payments are processed and posted by the end of each business day.
· Apply commissions and calculate payments with percentage deductions for discounts.
· Conduct research and analysis when applying payments for multiple accounts and/or invoices.
· Contact customers when payment information is unclear or when processing multiple accounts or duplicate payments.
· Assist with document retrieval and support audits by providing necessary information and AP vouchers.
· Use ten-key by touch for efficient data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
· Organize, scan, and file relevant documents to ensure accessibility for future reference.
Requirements:
· High school diploma required; two years of bookkeeping experience preferred.
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; general computer literacy required.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with co-workers.
· Proven ability to stay focused and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
· Ten-key by touch proficiency

The pay range for this role is:
45,000 - 50,000 USD per year (DJC LA)
