Daily Journal Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid to Senior Level Software Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and rewriting legacy applications to improve compatibility, reliability, and maintainability.
You should enjoy solving puzzles, digging into old code, figuring out what it does, and rewriting it with modern syntax, libraries, and dependencies.

Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C#, .NET Core, and .NET. Rewrite legacy applications
· Write efficient and optimized SQL queries to manage and manipulate databases.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features for Daily Journal’s web and newspaper publishing.
· Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
· Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Required Core Skills:
· Proficiency in C#, .NET Core, .NET, and ColdFusion
· Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL, database schema and normalization, and stored procedures.
· Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
· Jasper Reports
Secondary Skills:
· Experience with Python and JavaScript.
· Familiarity with AJAX, CSS, and HTML.
· Experience with Word Macros and VB.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
