About the role

This is a newly created position to support the company’s growth and scaling operations. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior FP&A Analyst to join our finance team. This role will play a critical part in building scalable financial models, analyzing business performance, and providing strategic insights that help guide key decisions. 

This is our first FP&A hire, offering significant growth potential. The candidate will be responsible for establishing the FP&A function and, over time, will have the opportunity to build and lead the FP&A team.

The candidate will have experience in SaaS financial metrics and business models, and preferably a background in equity research, investment banking, or private equity. Experience implementing FP&A/accounting software tools such as Maxio, Mosaic, NetSuite, Rillet a plus.

The position is either remote or based on in Midtown NYC office.


What you'll do

  • Partner with leadership to develop and maintain company-wide financial models, forecasts, and budgets
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages with variance analysis and key SaaS KPIs (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, churn, burn multiple, etc.)
  • Support board reporting and investor updates with clear, data-driven insights
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to evaluate growth opportunities, pricing strategies, and ROI on strategic initiatives
  • Build scenario and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations to ensure alignment between financial and operational goals
  • Support fundraising efforts through financial modeling, diligence preparation, and market benchmarking

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, equity research, investment banking, or private equity
  • SaaS industry experience strongly preferred; deep understanding of subscription-based revenue models and unit economics
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to distill complex data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
