The Daniels Fund, established by cable television pioneer Bill Daniels, is a private charitable foundation dedicated to making life better for the people of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming through its grants program, scholarship program, and ethics initiative.

The Daniels Fund strives to ensure its work reflects Bill Daniels’ written directives, values, and unmistakable style. Bill was a patriotic American who served our country in two wars. He was a capitalist who loved our free enterprise system and was well known for his generosity to people from all walks of life. Guided by his compassion, Bill transferred his $1 billion estate to form the assets of the Daniels Fund to carry forward his legacy of giving.

The Opportunity (On-site)

This unique opportunity positions the Daniels Fund to be a digitally fluent, data-empowered organization where every associate, scholar, grantee, and partner is supported by intelligent, intuitive technology that magnifies human potential and deepens alignment with Bill Daniels’ enduring legacy. The Director of Digital Transformation will build an ecosystem that will act as a mission multiplier—streamlining work, enhancing relationships, surfacing real-time insights, and unlocking new levels of impact across the communities Daniels Fund serves.

The Role

The Director of Digital Transformation will:

• Drive the Fund’s enterprise digital vision and strategy: Develop, articulate, and continuously refine a multi-year Digital Transformation roadmap and measurable milestones. Ensure technology investments, AI adoption, data architecture, and platform strategy directly advance the Fund’s strategic priorities and reflect Bill Daniels’ values.
• Oversee the unification and integration of platforms: Drive deep integration of the Fund’s cloud-centric O365 and Salesforce environment to form a single 360-degree view of all stakeholders and enable streamlined collaboration across functions. Track all stakeholder interactions and use AI-driven insights to identify personalized partnership opportunities and deepen engagement with the Daniels Fund.
• Drive AI-enabled operations: Weave AI into every corner of the Fund’s work—automating repetitive tasks, analyzing data, identifying trends, and delivering rapid insights. Enable every associate to use AI agents to increase research speed, elevate decision-making, and free time for strategic thinking and relationship-building.
• Deeply embed data-driven decision-making: Equip all departments and associates with dashboards that will serve as interactive, intelligent systems, customized by department/role, updated in real time, and deeply integrated with the Fund’s strategy.
• Guide personalized engagement: Led the development of portals, communications, and support tools that will adapt in real time to the needs and journeys of each stakeholder—grantees, scholars, alumni, and partners. Utilize AI tools to increase personalization and provide 24/7 guidance through chatbots and predictive nudges.
• Create a culture of digital excellence: Equip associates to be digital fluent and empowered to lead innovation in their areas. Position IT as a strategic partner, proactively shaping and scaling technologies to match mission needs.

There is no explicit experience requirement. We are looking for the right person to grow within our foundation and team.

Compensation and Benefits

The total compensation for this position will be in the range of $150,000 to $185,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Daniels Fund offers a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health, dental, vision insurance, long-term disability, life insurance, a matched 401k retirement plan and a host of additional benefits.
