Position Overview:
Lead and grow a team of 5 to 10 engineers. Contribute hands-on by writing code, shipping features, and tackling complex problems alongside the team. Set the standard for advanced AI-assisted development by demonstrating it yourself every day. Build the skills, plugins, and systems that give the team real leverage. Define and roll out the AI tooling, workflows, and practices that transform how engineering operates. Own architecture and system design across the stack. Apply AI not only to how we build, but also to what we build, shaping product capabilities and extending into business processes beyond engineering. Partner with product and business leaders to translate strategy into a technical roadmap.

Success in this Role

  • AI adoption: engineers across the team are using AI tools effectively and consistently in their day-to-day work
  • Velocity: measurable, AI-driven increase in delivery speed (cycle time, deploy frequency, lead time for change)
  • Modernization: meaningful progress moving the platform off legacy patterns toward a modern, cloud-native architecture, accelerated by AI
  • Product and beyond: AI applied to the product itself and into wider business processes, with concrete shipped outcomes
  • Delivery: the team consistently ships on commitments against the product roadmap
  • Engineering excellence: best practices for AI-assisted development instilled across the team, including code review, testing, CI/CD, observability, and on-call discipline
