The Robotic Welder II independently operates and performs basic setup and adjustments to robotic welding equipment. This role ensures quality and efficiency while troubleshooting minor issues.

 

Essential Job Functions:

·        Set up robotic welding cells, including fixturing and material preparation

·        Operate equipment independently to meet production goals

·        Perform in-process inspections using measuring tools and weld gauges

·        Make minor program adjustments and parameter changes

·        Troubleshoot routine equipment and weld quality issues

·        Train and support Robotic Welder I employees

·        Maintain accurate production and quality records

·        Support other production areas as needed.

·        Assist in general shop housekeeping and material handling.

·        Perform other related duties to support manufacturing operations.

 

Schedule:

The standard schedule consists of 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday or 12-hour shifts Friday through Sunday. Flexibility is required to work evenings, weekends, and additional hours as needed to meet workload demands.

Required Qualifications:

·        High school diploma or GED preferred.

·        3-6 years of prior welding experience

·        Knowledge of AWS D1.2 fundamentals, basic weld symbols, and acceptance criteria.

·        Understanding of ASME Y14.5 GD&T basics and tolerance impact.

·        Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions and safety procedures.

·        Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to quality.

·        Must be safety-focused and able to work effectively as part of a team.

       Must be a U.S citizen.


Preferred Qualifications:

·        AWS D1.2 Welder Qualification (entry-level) or internal equivalent

 

Physical Requirements:

·        Standing: More than 2/3 of the time

·        Walking: 1/3 to 2/3 of the time

·        Sitting: Less than 1/3 of the time

·        Lifting: Up to 50 pounds (occasional)

·        Crouching, stooping, reaching, or stretching: Less than 1/3 of the time

·        Speaking and hearing: As needed for communication

·        Visual acuity required for close work and inspection

 

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to elevated noise levels, hazardous chemicals and odors, and airborne particles or flying debris. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures is essential.
