Amp

Founding Inbound Marketer

The Role

This is a founding role. You’ll be the first marketer at Amp, running inbound for an AI-native company with AI agents doing the production work. You’ll run Amp’s editorial output, organic search and AI-answer presence, founder thought leadership, and the inbound pipeline that feeds sales.

You won’t be writing articles by hand. You’ll brief AI agents that draft, edit the output against Amp’s voice, publish across the right destinations, and measure what works. The CEO sets strategy and priorities; you turn that into shipped content and measurable inbound pipeline.

If you’re the person on your team who already uses AI for everything and moves faster than peers because of it, this is the role.

What You’ll Run

  • Editorial engine. Run Amp’s editorial output day to day across thought leadership, customer stories, product news, and company announcements. Brief AI agents, edit to publication standard, publish, measure.
  • Organic and AI-answer presence. Run SEO and Generative Engine Optimization. Build the structured content that makes Amp surface in Google, ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity when buyers go looking.
  • Social and founder voice. Run Amp’s LinkedIn presence and support the founders’ personal thought leadership. Brief posts in each voice, repurpose long-form pieces across channels, and engage substantively with customers and peers.

What You’ll Own

One number, clearly. Everything above feeds it.

  • Inbound pipeline. Marketing-sourced qualified meetings and the organic + AI-answer surfacing that drives them. You hold the number.

Who You Are

  • Early in your career who wants to learn marketing inside an AI-native company instead of inside a traditional one.
  • You already use AI for everything. First drafts, research, competitive analysis, landing pages, briefs. Not experimenting, actually shipping with it.
  • You know how to brief an AI agent the way a sharp analyst briefs a junior: clear objective, audience, tone, constraints, examples. You can tell publish-ready output from work that needs another pass.
  • You take direction well and you operate without hand-holding. The CEO sets priorities and the plan; you turn that into shipped work and bring back what’s working and what isn’t.
  • You measure what you do. Organic traffic, AI-answer surfacing, LinkedIn reach, inbound pipeline. You care about hires delivered to customers, not impressions.
  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity. At a small company, “inbound” means whatever moves the number this week.

Why Amp

  • Founding seat. First marketer at a funded company led by serial entrepreneurs with three exits and $135M+ in combined outcomes. The story you’ll tell in two years is “I built Amp’s inbound engine from zero.”
  • A real ladder. Founding Inbound Marketer → Head of Inbound → Head of Marketing as we scale. We hire under you, not over you, if you deliver.
  • AI-native from day one. One of the first roles in Canada designed from the ground up to be AI-native. You won’t be “adopting AI”; you’ll be operating in a company where AI agents are the default.
  • Direct line to the founders. You report to the CEO. No layers, no committee.
  • Category-defining market. You’ll help us own a category Bain has sized at roughly $100 billion, across search and AI-generated answers.
