We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems administration, network management, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and technical troubleshooting. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members while ensuring high availability and security of IT systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Manage Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure/AWS, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery initiatives.
  • Implement cybersecurity best practices, vulnerability management, and patch management.
  • Manage backup and recovery solutions.
  • Support LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, switches, and wireless networks.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Mentor junior IT engineers and provide technical leadership.
  • Participate in on-call support and incident management as required.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards.

Required Qualifications

Must have a very high standard of English verbal and written skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Windows Server
    • Linux administration
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft 365
    • Azure and/or AWS
    • VMware or Hyper-V
    • Networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
    • Firewalls and security appliances
    • Backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities. 

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP
  • CompTIA Security+
  • ITIL Foundation

  • Monitor infrastructure health and respond to incidents.
  • Perform routine maintenance and system updates.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Review security alerts and implement remediation actions.
  • Support business-critical applications and services.
  • Lead infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Provide Level 3 technical support.
  • Maintain disaster recovery readiness and business continuity plans.
