Bad Birdie

Social Media Coordinator

About Us

When Bad Birdie started, we gave golfers something they’d never seen before: a bold printed polo designed to disrupt tradition and invite more people into the game. Today, we’re proud to create premium golf apparel that’s colorful, confident, and playfully rebellious, built so every player can feel good and have a hell of a good time on the course. As we grow, we’re committed to keeping that original energy alive, continuing to challenge what’s possible in golf while respecting the game and welcoming everyone to play their way. We started bold. We’re staying bad. And we’ll keep showing golfers what the game can be.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator who can turn ideas into content and conversations into community. You’ll create, schedule, and publish content, engage with our audience, and bring product launches, campaigns, partnerships, and everyday brand moments to life. Working closely with the Sr. Brand Manager, you’ll keep our social presence consistent, relevant, and distinctly Bad Birdie. This is a hands-on role for someone who writes well, creates with confidence, follows through, and adapts quickly as priorities change.

Role Details
Reports to: Sr. Brand Manager
Location: Scottsdale, AZ HQ
Schedule: Full-time, on-site. Occasional evening or weekend support may be needed for events, launches, or timely social coverage, coordinated with the Sr. Brand Manager.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 3 to 6 months, success looks like:

  • The content calendar runs reliably, with planned posts ready ahead of time and room for relevant real-time moments.
  • You independently create and publish content that fits Bad Birdie’s voice and makes our products, people, and partnerships engaging to our audience.
  • Our community receives timely, thoughtful responses, and customer issues or sensitive conversations reach the right teammate.
  • Launches and campaigns are supported with accurate, timely social content and clear coordination across teams.
  • Performance reporting shows what is working, what needs to change, and how new ideas are being tested.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Concept, capture, and edit social content, including short-form video, photos, behind-the-scenes moments, and event coverage.
  • Write captions and copy that reflect Bad Birdie’s bold, playful, and inclusive voice, adapting content for each platform.
  • Maintain the content calendar, coordinate assets and approvals, and schedule and publish accurate, timely posts across our social channels.
  • Work with the brand team to turn launches, campaigns, athlete moments, and collaborations into engaging content, including relevant user-generated and influencer content.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions with personality, care, and sound judgment.
  • Build relationships with followers and brand advocates, and actively participate in relevant golf and cultural conversations.
  • Spot trends, memes, and timely brand opportunities; bring ideas to the team and act on those that fit our audience and brand.
  • Coordinate customer issues with Customer Service and escalate sensitive conversations to brand leadership.
  • Track content and community performance, including reach, views, engagement, follower growth, and sentiment.
  • Share clear takeaways and recommendations; test new ideas and use results to improve content, timing, and posting cadence.
  • Partner with Growth / Marketing to share organic insights and support alignment between organic and paid social.
  • Coordinate with Brand, Creative, Product, E-Commerce, Partnerships, and Customer Service so social supports business priorities and the customer experience.
  • Keep teammates informed on deadlines, asset needs, and blockers, and maintain a consistent brand voice across channels.

What You Bring

  • 1–3 years of relevant social media, community management, or digital marketing experience, with examples of content you personally created or channels you helped manage.
  • Ability to capture and edit engaging short-form video and photos using accessible content creation tools.
  • Strong writing skills, a sense of humor, and judgment about what fits a brand’s voice.
  • Practical understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and other major social platforms, including publishing and performance analytics.
  • Genuine interest in golf culture, sports, or lifestyle communities, with curiosity about Bad Birdie’s audience.
  • Organization, attention to detail, and follow-through; comfort managing multiple priorities and taking ownership in a fast-moving team.

Bonus Points

  • Experience creating content for apparel, golf, sports, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
  • Experience using social scheduling tools and supporting user-generated, influencer, athlete, or partnership content.
  • Experience capturing events and turning live moments into timely social stories.
