Parental Leave Coverage (Contract Opportunity)

This is a temporary parental leave coverage role, with an anticipated start date in mid-October and an expected duration through the end of January or February. During this period, the individual will provide full support for the responsibilities of the position, ensuring continuity of operations and a seamless experience for internal and external stakeholders while the team member is on leave.

Summary

As a Project Manager at Beazley Security, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering cybersecurity projects from initiation to completion, for our cyber services team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within scope and budget. This role requires strong project management skills, knowledge of cybersecurity, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Initiation:

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.

• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.

• Identify and allocate resources required for project execution.

• Conduct project kickoff meetings and communicate project goals to the team.

Project Execution and Monitoring:

• Lead project teams in executing cybersecurity projects.

• Monitor project progress and track key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.

• Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Maintain clear and regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

• Provide project status updates, reports, and documentation as needed.

• Manage client expectations and address concerns promptly.

Resource Management:

• Coordinate and allocate resources, including personnel, tools, and equipment.

• Manage project budgets and ensure adherence to financial constraints.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that all project activities comply with cybersecurity industry standards and best practices.

• Perform quality control and assurance checks on project deliverables.

Change Management:

• Partner with business stakeholders to document change requests that impact project scope, budget utilization, and/or resourcing 

• Effectively manage project scope changes and assess their impact on timelines and budgets.

• Ensure that change requests are documented and approved by relevant stakeholders.

Project Closure:

• Conduct post-project evaluation and gather lessons learned.

• Prepare and deliver project closure reports to clients and management.

Technical Knowledge & Project Delivery

• Develop a working understanding of Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) services, including security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response workflows.

• Understand how security telemetry and log sources are collected, ingested, and monitored within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.

• Partner closely with Security Engineering teams to identify onboarding prerequisites, validate data collection methods, and prioritize high-value security telemetry.

• Facilitate discussions with clients regarding scope, timelines, technical dependencies, and onboarding requirements to ensure successful project delivery.

• Support planning and coordination of security tool integrations, including understanding licensing, configuration, and infrastructure requirements that may impact implementation.

• Assist in evaluating and prioritizing security data sources based on business objectives, visibility requirements, and threat detection value.

• Serve as a liaison between clients and technical teams, translating complex security concepts into clear business language.

• Manage projects in a dynamic environment where priorities, scope, and timelines may evolve based on technical findings and client needs.

• Maintain alignment across clients, Project Management, and Security Engineering teams throughout implementation to ensure successful onboarding and acceptance.

• Measure project success through the successful deployment, validation, and operationalization of agreed-upon security telemetry and monitoring capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT or cybersecurity projects.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, JIRA).

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SOC, SIEM, MDR, XDR, or MXDR environments. 

• Experience managing technical implementations involving cybersecurity, cloud platforms, infrastructure, or security tooling. 

• Ability to work effectively in adaptive project environments where requirements evolve throughout delivery. 

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate between business and technical teams.
