JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

  • Perform machine controls validation and testing activities.
  • Collect and analyze machine performance data.
  • Troubleshoot CAN, Ethernet, and control system issues.
  • Support software flashing, calibration, and system integration.
  • Conduct field testing on off-highway/heavy equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform machine controls validation and testing.
  • Collect, analyze, and report machine performance data.
  • Troubleshoot control systems, CAN, and Ethernet communication issues.
  • Support software flashing, calibration, and system integration activities.
  • Conduct field testing on heavy/off-highway equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve machine performance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering field.
  • 1+ years of experience in Controls Engineering, Validation, or Testing.
  • Experience with machine controls, CAN communication, and Ethernet networks.
  • Familiarity with software flashing, calibration, and system integration.
  • Experience with data collection, troubleshooting, and validation testing.
  • Exposure to heavy equipment, automotive, or off-highway machines is preferred.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:  

  • Knowledge of machine controls systems and validation testing.
  • Experience with CAN, J1939, and Ethernet communication protocols.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and control systems.
  • Experience with data acquisition, analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Software flashing, calibration, and system integration experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with validation, testing, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment or off-highway vehicle systems.
  • Knowledge of control systems, CAN tools, and diagnostics.
  • Ability to work independently in field and lab environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
