About the Role:
Daloopa's BDR team is the tip of the spear for buy-side pipeline generation, and this role owns it. You are taking over a team of 8 that has the material to perform — most under a year in, with a few veterans anchoring the group — and your job is to make them great. You will report directly to the CRO and own how Daloopa develops pipeline across hedge funds, asset managers, and other buy-side institutions. If you have turned teams around, built pipeline machines in fintech or financial services, and want to do it at a company whose product the buy side actually needs, this is your seat.

What You'll Do

  • Own the performance of an 8-person global BDR team — pipeline output, KPI attainment, and team development.
  • Coach every rep individually through call reviews, outreach audits, objection handling, and ICP targeting.
  • Build and enforce a culture of accountability where activity standards are clear, results are tracked, and underperformance is addressed early.
  • Partner with AEs to ensure BDRs are generating qualified pipeline that moves — not just meetings that go nowhere.
  • Work alongside demand gen to convert inbound leads quickly while running structured outbound motions into buy-side accounts.
  • Own the team's KPIs and be willing to reassess them so they reflect what actually drives quality pipeline, not just activity volume.
  • Develop reps who are ready to grow, and make promotion into closing roles a real outcome.
  • Report pipeline health, team performance, and market feedback directly to the CRO as a strategic partner, not just a people manager.
  • Identify and build the processes, playbooks, and tooling that make the team faster and more effective over time.

Who You Are

  • You have built or rebuilt a BDR or SDR team and can show what it looked like before and after. Startup experience building from scratch counts for more than years at an org with a ready-made playbook.
  • You have a fintech or financial services background and understand how buy-side institutions buy — and what it takes to earn a conversation with a portfolio manager or research director.
  • You are a coach first: you identify what's holding a rep back, build a plan to fix it, and follow through until it sticks.
  • You hold the line on standards. You are direct, fair, and consistent — reps always know where they stand.
  • You are a builder who creates, tests, and improves processes rather than waiting for perfect ones to exist.
  • You know the difference between managing volume and managing quality across both inbound and outbound motions.
  • You can operate globally, with intentional communication and management structure rather than ad hoc check-ins.
  • You are data literate — you know which metrics matter, which are vanity, and how to use both to make the team better.

Success Looks Like

  • The team hits pipeline targets consistently — quantity and quality, not one at the expense of the other.
  • BDRs are driving 30% of paired AE revenue goals, and those contributions are closing.
  • Underperforming reps are on a clear trajectory up or out.
  • You've assessed the team, refined the KPIs, and built a performance framework the CRO trusts.
