Dusty Robotics

Implementation Manager

Position Overview:

Dusty Robotics is an autonomous robotics company with a successfully launched product in the construction market. Its flagship product the FieldPrinter™ is an industry transformative product that automates the layout process for construction projects. The 60+ person team supports a fleet of robots that is deployed on construction sites across North America to increase the quality and predictability of building projects.

Dusty has raised over $69M from top-tier venture capital firms including Scale Venture Partners, Baseline Ventures, Canaan, NextGen Venture Partners, and Root Ventures. Our customers include some of the largest names in the construction industry, including DPR, JE Dunn, and Skanska.

We are now looking for an Implementation Manager to onboard and grow our largest, most complex accounts at their inception. As an Implementation Manager, you will play a critical role in the successful deployment of our FieldPrint Platform on construction sites across the United States. You will oversee all aspects of the implementation process, including onsite training. You will ensure the seamless integration of our solutions, manage client relationships, and drive project success from start to finish. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure that our systems meet client needs and project timelines.

Responsibilities

On-Site Implementation & Relationship Management:

  • Provide onsite training and post-deployment support to clients, ensuring they are successfully utilizing our robotics systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the implementation phase, building and nurturing strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their evolving needs, ensuring our solutions are tailored to their specific project requirements and future goals.
  • Leverage insights from implementation to identify opportunities for expanding and deepening client relationships, working to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of the FieldPrint Platform for construction projects with Dusty's clients, from initial planning and design through to deployment and final layout signoff.
  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful on-time delivery of solutions.
  • Identify and resolve any implementation challenges, ensuring projects stay on track and meet client expectations.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and milestones to senior leadership.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the engineering and R&D teams to ensure the products meet client specifications and can be deployed efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Dusty's customer support team to provide post-implementation support and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing client accounts. Support the sales team in preparing proposals, presentations, and customized solutions for potential clients.
  • Push opportunities with marketing for deliverables such as case studies, multi media content, web features, speaking engagements, and more.
  • Regularly sync with account and finance teams to ensure clients are billed accurately and timely.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Develop and refine internal implementation processes to improve efficiency and scalability across multiple projects.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and customize external operating procedures for Dusty's largest customers. These procedures should be created in partnership with the client to create a repeatable plan to implement the FieldPrinter.
  • Gather feedback from clients and internal teams to improve the functionality, usability, and deployment processes of our solutions.

Risk Management:

  • Proactively identify project or account risks and work to mitigate them by implementing risk management strategies. These risks could include billings or contract risk resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation, collaborating with engineering teams as necessary.

  • Preferred experience with robotics, automation, or other technology solutions in construction or manufacturing.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project management software (e.g. Asana, Jira, Notion etc.).
