About eternal.ag

eternal.ag develops autonomous robots that execute crop-work (such as harvesting) — to address the severe labor shortages in commercial greenhouses. Our vision is to enable existing & new greenhouses to become fully automated, highly resource-efficient, sustainable food production sites that can be deployed anywhere on earth. This will enable local-for-local food production regardless of climate, while disconnecting the reliance on specialized knowledge for its operations and overcoming the shortage of labor for crop-work.

About the role

Our mission is important. The tech is sound. Our team has some of the most talented, hardworking and humble people we could find. However, even with all that, there is no way we can make a sufficient impact if we cannot communicate our ideas clearly. This is where you come in. Your task will be to communicate concepts in a clear, jargon-free,  elegant way. This refers both to internal and external communications.

Here are some examples:

* Condensing the copy of pitch decks right to its core, and ruthlessly trimming "the fat";
* Spotting inconsistencies of internal nomenclature (how different people call the same things) and fixing it in a

systematic way;
* Turning a flood of information and ideas into easy-to-digest form that can be used in our website, print media

and any other touchpoints to communicate the core messages;
* Collaborating with the design team; respecting the design requirements (often the max length of the copy!) and

obsessing over solutions to fit such self-imposed constraints.

 If you are not a ruthless editor who cares deeply about the clarity and beauty of the language and can stand their ground in heated-but-objective discussions, do not apply. The job will overwhelm and consume you. However, if you are tired of cliches and overall mediocrity in written and spoken company communications and want to do something about it, this might just be for you.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who:

* Has a technical mind, but writes for non-technical people;

* Can stand their ground, present their arguments, and quickly change their opinion when the arguments of the

other side are objectively stronger;
* Can clearly break down complex concepts into simple, digestible bits of information;

* Has relevant (at least tech-adjacent) writing experience and portfolio/blog/newsletter/etc. that truly stands out;
* Believes in iterating again and again;
* Is an empathetic team player with no ego.

One last warning: we are a startup. You will have to adapt and (sometimes) extend beyond the scope of your role, and deadlines can occasionally be brutal. Be ready, think twice.

If you still want to apply - good luck! Applications with no portfolio will be instantly rejected, so make sure to attach one.
