Role Overview
We’re looking for a Software Engineering Intern with an interest in distributed systems and AI infrastructure to join our engineering team. You’ll work on the foundational systems that power AI-driven products, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability. This role offers hands-on experience building and operating backend infrastructure that supports model training, deployment, and inference at scale.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain backend services and infrastructure using Python, Go, or Java
- Develop and optimize systems for model serving, inference pipelines, and data processing
- Work on infrastructure components such as APIs, job orchestration, and distributed systems
- Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability across AI workloads
- Collaborate with engineers to design and implement robust, production-grade systems
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code and contribute to engineering best practices
What You'll Need to Be Successful
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Java
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core systems concepts (e.g., concurrency, networking, memory management)
- Familiarity with backend systems and infrastructure fundamentals (APIs, services, system design basics)
- Interest in distributed systems and AI infrastructure
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to distributed systems, data pipelines, or large-scale systems design
- Experience working with model serving frameworks or inference systems
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Hands-on projects involving infrastructure, backend systems, or AI platforms
