About the role

  • The Senior Accounting Analyst is a hybrid role combining accounting fundamentals with systems, process, and reporting ownership. This position will help build scalable financial reporting processes, support month-end close, including strengthening internal controls over revenue and equity, and partner with developers and finance to improve data quality and reporting. The role is critical to enhancing audit readiness and reducing reliance on external consultants as we prepare for public‑company requirements.

What you'll do


Monthly Close & Accounting

  • Prepare and post selected journal entries (revenue, equity, debt, goodwill/intangibles)
  • Own assigned balance sheet reconciliations and review select other reconciliations
  • Support AR and revenue close activities as needed, including ASC 606 revenue analyses and a review of aged receivables
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated monthly and annual financial statements, including tie‑out schedules

Revenue & Equity Process Ownership

  • Strengthen documentation for revenue recognition, including milestone evidence and input‑method supporting schedules
  • Assist in implementing a consistent input‑based revenue model aligned with policy
  • Establish recurring controls and reconciliations for Carta (grants, vesting, forfeitures)
  • Perform periodic reviews of unit-based compensation reports and equity rollforwards 

Systems, Data, and Reporting

  • Map and optimize NetSuite data flows for revenue, equity, and reporting
  • Partner with developers to enhance reporting architecture and operational visibility
  • Assist with building monthly reporting packages and driver-based analytics
  • Contribute to improvements in the chart of accounts, dimensions, and system structure

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Develop process documentation and workflow diagrams
  • Identify automation opportunities and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions
  • Support SOX readiness and internal control development
  • Help address and remediate audit findings related to revenue and equity

Qualifications

  • Solid grounding in GAAP, revenue recognition concepts, and internal controls
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Strong analytic skills; comfortable with data manipulation (Excel, SQL, or BI tools a plus)
  • Ability to work with developers and translate accounting requirements into system logic
  • Strong communication skills and curiosity to understand process flows end‑to‑end

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of Big Four audit or advisory experience strongly preferred

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field


US Salary Range
 $120,000.00—$150,000.00
 

The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra’s overall compensation package.
