Job Description:

The Business Development (“BD”) team is responsible for managing relationships with deal sources and supporting the deployment of Graham’s funds. The BD Coordinator will work closely with the BD team and other Graham team members, providing administrative and logistical support across banker communications, roadshow and conference coordination, database management, event planning, and internal process execution. The role is intended to support the efficiency and organization of the BD function through consistent execution and initiative. 

 

Ideal Candidates Will Demonstrate the Following:

  • Strong organizational and operational skills, with the ability to manage logistics, schedules, and multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in maintaining databases, contact information, and banker records
  • Proficiency in Excel and other productivity tools, with comfort using spreadsheets for tracking, reconciliation, and administrative support
  • Prior experience working with and maintaining a CRM is a requirement (experience with DealCloud or Salesforce is a plus)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while operating effectively within a team-based environment
  • Strong sense of initiative, follow-through, and accountability for administrative and coordination responsibilities
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with competing priorities
  • Undergraduate degree from a four-year institution is required
  • 2–4 years of experience in professional services is required. Experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, wealth management, or private equity services is not required but is a plus
  • Experience with M&A data / software platforms (e.g., PitchBook, SourceScrub, Grata, Cyndx, CapIQ, Sutton Place, Axial) is not required but is a plus

 

Specific Responsibilites Include:

  • Business Development Support:
    • Provide administrative and logistical support to the BD team for ongoing deal source communication and activity
    • Coordinate and schedule BD events, meetings, and calls
    • Process expense reimbursements for the BD team
    • Coordinate conference registrations and related logistics
  • Business Development Data & Systems Tracking:
    • Database entry and management in the firm’s CRM is a mission-critical daily task, including logging calls, meetings, and emails, as well as conflict checking potential acquisition targets
    • Analyze and manage the firm’s CRM (DealCloud), including data exports, bulk uploads, and record maintenance
    • Assist the BD Analyst with tracking and maintaining the firm’s pipeline of target acquisitions, which includes a weekly review of actionable items by the BD or investment teams and any follow-up updates in the CRM
    • Create and manage internal BD reports in the firm’s CRM
    • Assist the BD Analyst with managing all teaser tracking in the CRM via our third-party administrative resource, SG Analytics
  • General Coordination & Team Support:
    • Work with the BD Analyst to pull conference / tradeshow / event attendee lists and provide initial feedback on prior interactions and meeting notes
    • Help manage the BD team’s subscriptions, including onboarding, renewals, and cancellations
    • Work with Graham’s AI team to implement better / more efficient processes for the BD team 
    • Create and maintain marketing blasts for the BD team
    • Maintain and distribute materials for the weekly BD meeting, including a list of all tasks by the BD team
    • Review and maintain the firm’s annual broker holiday gift list
    • Assist in managing the firm’s internship program, which is primarily overseen by the current BD Analyst
